Fantastic Carcase Competition results at Adelaide Show
Maildaburra entered two steers in the carcase only Adelaide Show competition held in early September 2020. I chose them predominantly on their carcase EBVs as a predictor of their performance.
 
One steer in particular, a son of Minlacowie Levi L3, was a standout, gaining first place out of 23 in the Purebred Heavy Export Class. As a result of his carcase details he also came 3rd overall in the MLA Prize for Best Export Eating Quality Carcase. One of the most pleasing things for me was that this steer had the second highest MSA Index score of 68.72 in the whole competition, after travelling 1100km over 2 days to get to the abbatoir.

Jarrah was sold to Tim and Jemma Reid of JTR Cattle Company, NSW in August 2020. I still have approximately 100 straws available for $50/straw as at Nov 2020.
